Eating While Reading: ‘Lette Macarons

Thank you to my friend Lexy from ‘Lette Macarons for sending me a box of these beautiful treats. There are undoubtedly certain foods that lend their classiness to consumers, and macarons are high on the list. ‘Lette recommends eating its macarons within three days for best degustation, which I had to look up too.

Randomly, I had my first ever macaron just over a week before this box’s arrival. However, said macaron was of unknown origin and served at a work party, which is probably one of the least appealing places to eat a macaron. So thank you, ‘Lette, for giving macarons and me a second chance.

Macarons are (almost) far too pretty to eat, which strangely comes in handy for a reading snack. Eating while reading can be dangerous; you become so absorbed in a book that you begin to absentmindedly reach your hand over and put things in your mouth, which your stomach will only let you get away with so many times. Macarons beg to be studied and savored, the perfect companion when settling in for a morning/afternoon/evening read. A big thumbs-up to the Earl Grey tea and coffee varieties.
