Desert Rose Tester Photos {aka beautifulness}

Today is a very happy day, because I get to show you some beautiful photos by my Desert Rose testers! Many of these ladies went above and beyond what I originally asked. They sewed multiple dresses, proofread the instructions like professionals, and gave me big thumbs up when I got it right. I can’t thank them all enough!

Some of them have written blog posts about the pattern. You may click on the link below the photo to read more about the dress. (Bear in mind that the neckline went through some changes during testing. If it looks different to you in the final version, that’s because it is).

The above dress was sewn by Monica of Adirondack Inspired and is completely lovely. Go check out her blog. Everything she sews and every photograph she takes is beautiful.

This stunning Desert Rose was sewn by April of Modern Foodie. I can’t get over that fabric combination! Too perfect! She also made the one below and, I can’t even… it’s just so perfect.

How darling is this woodsy version by Annika of Näh-connection?! I just love that deer on the bodice. My kids would LOVE this one!

I couldn’t help but fall in love with these dresses Alexia of Lexi Made made for her twins. (Sadly, she is no longer blogging actively, but you can still go scroll through all her blog posts and drool over the lovely clothes she makes her kids).

Sara of Made by Sara made this incredibly gorgeous version. I just love this fabric so much. Be sure to check out her blog; there’s so much to love over there.

Speaking of twins, look at these adorable girls in their dresses. Lucky girls, to have a mama who sews such beautiful clothes for them! Check out the full post HERE.

Here is another sweet version in blue and pink, by Courtney of Sweeter Than Cupcakes. And those shoes!! We need to know where you bought those shoes, Courtney!

This Fall version by Renee of Nearest The Pin is perfect, especially now that we in the Northern Hemisphere need to start thinking about cooler weather!

I can’t get over this sweet, floral version by my friend Beth of Lil’ Bit and Nan.

A good college friend joined us for testing which was SO fun for me (thanks Emily!), and she made this gorgeous, vintage-y version. I love this picture of her daughter jumping on the bed! Check out more of her gorgeous photographs on her Emily Jones Photography Facebook page.

This adorable version was sewn by Stacey of Ruby Sky Handmade.

This dress by Brandi of Simple and Trendy has such a story! This was the first time Brandi had EVER SEWN WITH A PATTERN, can you believe it?! She was able to sew the whole dress with no trouble and knocked it out of the park. I’m so proud to be a part of her sewing story. Great job, Brandi!

Another sweet Desert Rose, this time by Rachel of Sew Happily. Check out pictures of her adorable girl in the dress HERE.

This might be one of my favorite fabric combinations ever! Kimberly of Straight Stitch Designs is killer at picking fabric combinations.

Those are pretty amazing dresses and tunics, huh? Testing this dress was a fun experience! I’ve also loved seeing the dresses YOU have been making, popping up on Instagram and other social media platforms with the hashtag #desertrosedress. Go check it out right now! The IG feed is beautiful.

If you have a hankering to see my versions of the Desert Rose (in case you missed when I shared them before) you can see them here, here, and here. If you want to buy the pattern (and I hope you do!), you can buy it HERE.

Here’s one last tester collage before I send you on your way. Thanks for stopping by!
