WHAT’S DOING VOL. 25

Happy Sunday everyone! The holidays are slowly creeping towards us and rather than spending the weekend working on handmade Christmas gifts, I fell down a rabbit hole of fitting for a party dress I’m working on. It’s a nice beak from all the comfy, loungey sewing I’ve been doing lately but let’s just say I’m glad I buy muslin in bulk these days.

ADMIRE

Inspired to turn my leggings obsession towards faux leather, a la Katy & Lany.

I’m always happy to see a post from Casey Maura. Her latest showed how even a simple tee can benefit from some fit analysis and thoughtful detail.

I’m quite into the new poncho pattern from April Rhodes. And downright lusty for the Pendleton version made by Cut Cut Sew.

Carolyn proves that even the simplest dress pattern can be made special by the right fabric and attention to detail.

Yet another dope coat from Honig Design.

I can’t even process how much I love Lily Sage & Co’s mod setacular. So good.

READ

I am just in love with Roger Ebert’s memoir Life Itself

. After he lost his voice due to thyroid cancer, he poured all of his thoughts and memories into his writing. There are passages so beautiful in this book that I bookmarked them to read out loud later. What a wonderful mind.

WATCH

I’ve been catching up on Brooklyn 99 on Netflix. I was underwhelmed by the first few episodes but good grief, this show is funny.
