6 things I wanted to buy…but didn’t
I was frustrated by something over the weekend and all I wanted to do was spend, spend, spend. But I didn’t because I knew I’d regret it, in the end all I bought was some suncream and paint for our back garden (HOW EXPENSIVE?). So here are 6 things I wanted to buy this weekend but didn’t.

1. Macaroni and cheese pouch £9.95
Reason I didn’t splurge: I have far too many things like this already which get very little use so another seems daft. I seriously love it though.
2. Habitat Lapsong Teapot £18
Reason I didn’t splurge: I already own 5 teapots and we only use them when guests come to stay, so I really don’t need this beauty. That said I’d happily sell three of the teapots and buy this one when our house is ready for beautiful new objects.
3. Xen Tan was £29.70 now £23.76
Reason I didn’t splurge: I’ve always been pale, always – apart from when my friend and I were 14 and laid in her garden on top of tin foil – then I was red and ill. I’ve reached a point where I’m quite happy being pale but then I’ll read a magazine/blog post or watch a video about how fake tan is basically as essential as washing your hoo-ha of a morning and I find myself almost brain washed into buying it. The couple of times I’ve tried it, I’ve looked stupid and felt like shit. So after umming and ahhing over fake tans I decided to skip it and buy sunscreen instead.
4. Orla Kiely Shoes £100
Reason I didn’t splurge: I ruin beautiful things. These poor puppies would be scuffed within an hour and I’d cry.
5. 6 bedroom house in Notting Hill £14,000,000
Reason I didn’t splurge: I don’t think we have room for it! I still think it is great value and wish I’d seen it before we bought our (lovely) garden furniture because it would be nice to have something which folds up and I love the retro beer hall style of it.
