Thrifty Gift Idea: Manicure Kit

How’s this for a sweet and easy thrifty gift idea? Check out this cute little manicure set you can easily put together for four pounds and easily personalise and package for around £1 more.

Hop down to your nearest big name pound shop to snatch up some Christmas themed/coloured discount brand nail polish. I picked up these two Sally Hansen polishes for £1 each in my local Poundworld but you can often pick up double packs for £1 too, so be savvy with your purchase. I went for Christmasy themed colours in Red Velvet and Royal Icing which are both textured glittered polishes.

Then find a cute little portable manicure set and package up the gift beautifully. Wrap in a swish of cellophane and tie with a big happy bow or opt for a small basket or one of these tiny little display baths for just over a pound here.

I bought this manicure set from Primark for just £2 and it really brings together this sweet little gift. Containing 5 essential manicure items and packaged in a sweet London themed case, once out of the Primark wrapping it looks more expensive than a £2 find.

To make this a more substantial gift you could easily add in the likes of cuticle cream, a glass nail file or even some nail art supplies. All of which you can pick up on eBay for next to nothing.

Always remember the key to making lovely gift hampers or assortments is there should always be an odd number of items as this works better for display.
