DON’T MAKE ME GET OLD SKOOL

Vans had a brief moment of commercial fame, Vulcanized and Authentic styles were seen everywhere ,on everyone and it wasn’t awful. Obviously that didn’t last long with New Balance and Nike muscling in on the trainer game, but hey I’m not here to over talk shoes. I’ve noticed that the canvas and suede duo that is the Old Skool shoe from Vans has slowly been working it’s way into wardrobes across my news feeds, from ASOS stylists to my favourite fashion bloggers and even my best friend, who’s been wearing them for years. Here’s a few outfits I really enjoyed wearing the Old Skool shoes with, the suede gives a little more maturity to the shoe and the leather side stripe has that status thing we all pretend we don’t care about. Can’t say I’ll be using these for any form of sporting or leisure activity though, they are way too nice. Mind your ankles when breaking them in, thick socks and patience is the key, maybe even a blister plaster or two.
