Shoes On My Feet (Lilyanne Nguyen)

I’m going to do something out of the ordinary and actually talk about what I’m wearing for once, specifically my shoes. With fall just around the corner, unless you live somewhere that’s warm year-round (you lucky sons of bitches), it’s about that time to put away the Birkenstocks and bring out the boots.

I’m so in love with these ankles boots by French Connection. A while ago my boyfriend and I left Maximus at home alone. When we came back a couple of hours later, to my dismay, the ENTIRE heel off of my Rachel Comey’s had been eaten. Fortunately, I now have the perfect replacement.

Boots come in all kinds of different styles, but I think ankle boots are the most versatile. You can easily dress them up or down, depending on the occasion—like with this beautiful French Connection trench coat and tunic dress, or even with this classic t-shirt (I’ll take one in every colour, please!) and distressed boyfriend jeans, for example.

That reminds me, yard sale update: Nigel, Kendahl, and I are moving the sale to Sunday, September 21st instead.
