Shop for Shoes

Last Tuesday my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of attending an exclusive shopping event at Holt Renfrew for the Children’s Wish Foundation, where 10% of sales were donated to the BC & Yukon Chapter of The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. A wonderful event for a great cause, it was a fun-filled night with beautiful shoes, delicious chocolate salty balls by Temper Pastry (hehe), sweet bubbly by Fresita, yummy toasted marshmallows by archimallows, and savoury bites by The Social Caterer.

The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada has granted over 20,000 wishes since 1984. During the event, I had the privilege of meeting one of their wish kids, Angela Cho. Angela is a charismatic 17-year-old with a love for fashion, and who has beaten cancer 5 times. In light of everything she has gone through, she remains happy and optimistic—a good reminder to us all to live each day to the fullest.
