Where There’s Love, There’s Hope

Since my last post, one thing I’ve learned about myself is that I won’t get over something until I say, or in this case, write, it out loud. Having a routine is nice, but just because something works, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will make you happy. It’s important to continually shake things up and keep your heart wild, not to mention the fun part about any major change occurring in your life is gaining new perspectives.

Another thing I’ve learned is where there’s love, there’s hope. It’s no secret that my boyfriend and I have our share of problems. While I don’t believe fighting with your significant other every day is acceptable or healthy, I do believe that heated arguments can be indicative of passion, and that if passion and chemistry exists in a relationship, it’s not to be taken for granted. In fact, if that fire exists in the relationship, you need only work on other things. It’s the relationships that lack that passion that are harder to work on. Having said that, there must always be a calm to the storm. If you’re going to cry over something (or someone), you damn well better make it worth your tears.

But enough about that. In lighter news, one of my favourite things to do is going to the movies and having the entire moving experience. On Tuesday my friend Jen and I watched Interstellar, and on Thursday my boyfriend and I went to the pre-screening of The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay – Part 1. Both movies were absolutely brilliant in their own ways.

I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much during a movie than I did while watching Interstellar. Matthew McConaughey was phenomenal. Every time I try to wrap my head around special relativity and time dilation, it sends my mind into a beautiful chaos. As for The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay – Part 1, well, let me just say I fucking LOVE trilogies, and even though I’ve read The Hunger Games books and know how it ends, I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. Can’t wait for part 2.

Anyway, thanks for reading my rambling. I hope you all have a great weekend.
