DIY Outfit – Patterned Pants

You've got to be a little brave to wear patterns, especially patterned pants. If you're looking for a starter pair, to test the patterned pants waters, these black and white ones should fit the bill. Not too flashy with a super chic painted look they'll take you to rock concerts and art galleries with equal ease. Read on to see how I would DIY them.

How to DIY Patterned Pants

Step 1: Today's DIY inspiration is this awesome pair of Helmut Lang pants.

Step 2: These pants have a classic waistband, button fly and front pleats with legs that taper to the ankle and are slightly cropped. The pattern Vogue V9032 is a pretty close match at the waist. If you narrow the legs and crop them at the ankle you'll have a perfect match.

Step 3: For the fabric, I found this awesome black and white challis from fabric.com.
