Formal with leather boots Dr Martens Maychild

Siamo da sempre abituati a credere che gli stivali in pelle diano un tocco punk-rock ai nostri look. Ed effettivamente è così. Ma uno stile minimale può decisamente dare una svolta meno “forte” ai nostri stivali in pelle e rendere il nostro look più pulito. Per dimostrarlo, in questo outfit, ho preso in esame un paio di stivali dall’impronta fortemente punk: i Dr Martens Maychild. Si tratta di un paio di stivali che rende omaggio all’ individualismo tipico del punk con schizzi di graffiti, borchie quadrate e rotonde, e il contrasto tra pelle nera e bianca nelle varie parti che compongono la scarpa.

Restando sulla stessa palette monocromatica degli stivali, ho creato un look più sobrio grazie ad un pantalone nero in felpa (con un particolare decoro geometrico in maglia) di CYH Clap Your Hand, una maglia nera di Genius e una giacca di pelle bianca, dal taglio corto, di Zara. Per rendere un po’ più sofisticato tutto l’outfit ed attutire ulteriormente l’allure punk degli stivali, ho deciso di utilizzare un cardigan/cappa in cotone di Art 259 Design, il cui punto forte è l’ampio collo trasformabile in un cappuccio. Per gli occhi ho scelto i miei fedeli Sabbath di Valley Eyewear.

A mio parere questa è un’ottima soluzione per utilizzare i propri stivali in pelle anche per un evento più formale.

English We always used to believe that leather boots give a punk-rock touch to our looks. And indeed it is. But a minimal style can definitely make a less “strong” change to our leather boots and make our outfit cleaner. To demonstrate it, in this outfit, I examined a pair of boots with a strongly punk impressione: Dr Martens Maychild. They are a pair of boots that pays tribute to ‘individualism typical of punk with splashes of graffiti, square and round studs, and the contrast between black and white leather in various parts of the shoes.

Staying on the same monochromatic palette, I created a more sober look with a black fleece pants (with a particular geometric decoration in vest) by CYH Clap Your Hand, a black tshirt by Genius and a short white leather jacket from Zara. To make all the outfit a little more sophisticated and to soften the allure of the punk boots, I decided to use a cardigan/hood in cotton byArt 259 Design, whose highlight is the wide neck turning into a hood. For the eyes I chose my faithful Sabbath by Valley Eyewear.

In my opinion this is a great way to use leather boots for a more formal event.
