Geox Collection Presentation

Hello peeps! A little while back I went to Geox’ Spring/Summer ’14 collection presentation in their store in Brussels. This was my first proper event invitation, so I thought I’d ask Annebeth if she wanted to tag along and also Sabina joined in on the road trip! James, my boyfriend, provided directions as well as moral support, and entertainment in the form of tales of when he was on tour with his band.

Rush hour, literal ups and downs and the friendly atmosphere Brussels’ traffic exudes (oh wait…) made it a wobbly ride but we made it out alive, all smiles.

Happy faces because 1) we’re alive and 2) SHOES OMG

So hold up. You, like many other people I know, may spontaneously think of sweaty old feet when you think of Geox but FEAR NOT – those assumptions are wrong. The brand has been on my radar ever since I simultaneously broke my foot and my favourite (and only) pair of sandals back in the Summer of 2012. I made a promise to myself not to buy ill-fitting, non-supportive footwear anymore and since you can barely find any nice leather shoes in the high street shops I’d used to frequent, I decided I needed to shift focus and then came Geox to save the day with these really neat black strappy sandals that I still love. But that’s a story for another day: For now I’d rather talk about the current Spring Summer collection, in which they stepped up their shoe game even more: Classic pieces alongside classic statement pieces alongside on-trend statement pieces. Something for everyone!

As you’ve probably expected by now, invitees were all offered a pair of shoes as a gift! Which is of course pretty sweet, and mostly thanks to you, readers! So thank you peeps! You’re awesome! I decided to go wild and I opted for these heels in beautiful turquoise. I can’t wait to frolic around town in them, paired with a gorgeous silky t-shirt dress! Aah, Summer where art thou!

Now onto the outfit deets:

Pull & Bear tie print blazer, & Other Stories “Triple Zip” bag, Mango booties

Oh god I still have to practice my faces – I know. Either way, this blazer was a total steal, I had been eyeing it ever since it was a new arrival but €50 seemed a bit steep for another jacket so I played the waiting game and lo and behold: I managed to get it for €20!

Other than that I don’t have much else to say but to wish you guys a great weekend! Enjoy!
