Over-packing My Makeup Bag.. Yet Again!

For the umpteenth time I am packing tonnes of stuff knowing perfectly well that half of it is unnecessary! The best excuse I can think of is that this time its a trip home and with plenty of parties on the horizon I need my essentials for survival and who knows I might be tempted to wear a red lip! *Shocker* I know!

Change of place and weather spells disaster for my skin usually so it is important I am armed with the dependables! Also, having my favorite things around encourages me to go the whole length and perform the nightly ritual which would otherwise be the first thing I’d skip.

I am carrying my Laura Mercier Custom Portfolio this time (review here), which comes with 4 mesh pouches of different sizes that I have stuffed to their absolute limit! Complete with skincare, makeup and extras this has everything I need without having to go shopping for a lotion while I am there! It doesn’t hurt that its the prettiest piece in my entire luggage and keeps everything safe from breaking and spilling. The best investment for my beloved makeup yet!

The list looks something like:

1. Eye Makeup Remover
2. Micellar Water (when I am not wearing much makeup)
3. Makeup Cleansing Oil
4. Balm Cleanser
5. Serum
6. Moisturiser
7. Eye Cream (Eyes are the first to bear the brunt of travel)
8. Sunscreen
9. Tinted Moisturiser/Concealer
10. Powder/Bronzer/Highlighter (Luckily I have all 3 in 1)
11. 2 Lipsticks, 1 bold, 1 everyday
12. Cream Blush
13. Eye Makeup – eyeshadow/mascara/eyeliner/brow-powder/eye-shadow base
14. Brushes
15 Extras – Cotton-Pads/Muslin/Toner-mist/lipbalm/Tooth-brush/Perfume

Still need to figure out the clothing but the beauty bag is all packed! Priorities some people have! :-)
