When I Want To Look Good In Less
Doing my makeup in the morning is really enjoyable and therapeutic for me. Thats the one thing I look forward to the most and I like to have a lot of time and not rush through it. Although, there are times when a certain car would honk outside and a few meetings would be at the verge of getting missed and I am forced to get my act together and hurry!
Heres what I do when the clock is ticking away and I need to look perfect in less than 5 minutes!
Base Thanks to adequate exercise and sleep I have had much brighter eyes and lesser breakouts which can mean only one thing.. NO foundation! I pop on some moisturiser and spf and armed with the YSL Touche Eclat and the Real Techniques setting brush my face is evened out in a matter of seconds and I am ready to move on to more important things..
Cheeks ..which is bronzer and blush. Now this step is absolutely essential for me. A little color on the cheeks and a glow and sculpt around the face just preps me for the day ahead like nothing else! These days its all about the Guerlain Terracotta 4 seasons bronzer which I dust practically everywhere on my face and neck with my new Real Techniques Multi Task brush. For a pop of color I have gone back to using my Clinique Cheek Pop blush in Ginger probably because it matches in hue with my current favorite lipstick!
Lips for the past month now I have been rocking the MAC Mineralize lipstick in Glamour Era and I am far from bored! Cannot imagine I had written it off when I bought it because I am already contemplating getting back-ups of this. (kidding!) No seriously, if you are anything close to my complexion you NEED this in your life. ‘Nuf said!
Eyes The other day I had a scare that my beloved Chanel Mirage was going to dry up.. which is not too far from reality because it just might! Afterall, I have only two eyes and only so many times I can remember to pop something on my lids. This one though I absolutely love, the perfect bronze gold with the perfect amount of color and shimmer which is very work appropriate without being too dull. For days that I cannot bother to have an eyeshadow situation, I go with my MAC teddy eye pencil in the waterline. An oldie but a goodie, my love for it is never going to grow old!
Lashes & Brows Now this is where I save time! I know shock & horror for a good number of you but me? I cannot be bothered! I have a good set of lash and a fairly unkempt unruly pair of brows which no matter what I do aren’t going to be tamed so I might as well relax! The Body Shop Clear Brow gel usually steps in if things are required to look polished. For the lashes, a little curl with the Shu Uemuras and I am good to go!
