Let's Workout!


As I mentioned last week, it's time to jump back on the workout train. What's better than working out with friends? No really, that's always been my motto and I don't discriminate between digital and "real-life" friends, so let's push each other to be healthy... and look good doing it!

What pulled me out of the "there's not enough time to workout" slump was a 10-day challenge at one of my fave classes, PopPhysique. I grabbed a few friends and we knocked it out of the park. Okay, we did like 7 of the 10 days but that's still better than nothing! Pop is a mix of bar, light weights and small isometrics movement that work to tone every part of your body, especially the booty, thighs and abs. Not kidding, I've never had a better ab workout than PopPhysique and I've taken plenty of classes in my day! For those of you that need ample cardio in your workout regimen, Pop is a great supplementary class but won't take the place of any serious cardio. More on pop in the coming months!

actra pants - pants are must because of all the fun (and mildly inappropriate) leg movements that happen during class
athleta sports bra - a light to medium support sports bra is sufficient; I like this one because it comes in a bunch of fun colors and has a comfy t-strap back
popphysique socks - because they're awesome! Socks are must during the class, no tennis shoes.
athleta top - a loose, easy-breezy top that can double as a shirt for after class activities aka late night happy hour

This bag was actually the bag my Triangl bikini came in and has been my go-to for the beach and workouts every since. If you don't have a PopPhysique near you they do have DVDs you can try! I've heard also heard their classes are somewhat similar to Cardio Barre or The Bar Method. Have you tried any of them? Would love to hear your thoughts!
