Hello from South Africa! It's been so awesome being home and catching up with some old friends! We spent last weekend up in Jozi (side note: there are MANY a cool Joburg spots that I had NO idea about!), and this week has been all about the in-laws and out-laws: two nights up in the berg with Husband's folks and now we are toasting ourselves on the heaters in the Midlands!
Last Saturday night, up in Jozi, we spent at a gorgeous Bridal shower - the "after-party" of which was conveniently situated on the Rooftop San Bar which is where the entire New Zealand rugby team decided to hang out after their game (defeat) on Saturday evening. We waited to get a snap with Richie Mc Caw:
To be fair, (given my extreme rugby knowledge) I had no idea who he was and had to be informed via the "real" rugby fan-girls (he's the captain of the New Zealand Rugby team for those of you who have the zero rugby knowledge like me). To be honest though, they could have very well pointed me in the direction of any largish thug wearing black and I would be NONE the wiser.
Richie asked me where I was from and I replied, "South Africa"
and that was the sum total of our conversation.
I'm really witty and banter-y like that.
In other news - the gorgeous ladeh that is with me in "THE RICHIE PIC" is one of my old Rhodes friends who has started the most amazing initiative - creating private schooling education at government-based costs.
