In the Bag

Very occasionally something comes into your life that makes you wonder what you ever did without it. A big statement yes, but it definitely applies to this Rag & Bone bag recently hunted down on Vestiaire Collective, having made my life quite literally lighter, easier and breezier.

Remember last winter’s camel coat obsession? If so, you’ll be familiar with my affinity for designer re-sale site Vestiaire. It’s no secret I like to shop, but I also like a good deal and hate the concept of fast, throwaway fashion. One woman’s trash is another’s treasure after all… From a Vintage Celine clutch to this never-used, second hand mini Enfield bag for £200, I can happily while away several hours on a rainy Sunday trawling through Vestiaire’s treasure trove of wares. There’s something incredibly satisfying about tracking down that item that’s been haunting you ever since it sold out, or finding a vintage gem that beats that Zara jacket hands down. And with the Vestiaire app, my bus and train journeys have never been so productive…

In other news, my love for monochrome sneakers has reached fever point with these new Air Max Theas. So good it’s not even true and they’re pretty much welded to my feet indefinitely. Wrap the whole thing up with a shirt dress (in the true meaning of the word) from the soon-to-launch Gant Rugger womenswear that feels like some kind of socially-acceptable, grown-up school uniform and I’m pretty much in a sartorial happy place.
