I couldn’t exactly talk about ‘going out’ without featuring at least one black dress and a smattering of sequins. So I conveniently found a killer dress that combines the two for my final look in collaboration with Topshop.
I first spied this pleated number on Le Catch a few weeks ago and instantly started looking for an excuse to wear it. The longer, asymmetric hemline and pleated panel keeps the sequins grown-up without being stuffy or prim. This to me is just the right amount of leg in the winter; anything shorter needs long sleeves to balance it out while a couple of inches longer can feel a bit drab.
And you all know my thoughts on biker jackets… They make everything better and instantly make me feel comfortable in whatever I have on, almost like a weird invisibility cloak. Remember the kid in Big Daddy and his sunglasses? I’m like that with leather jackets. And I didn’t have a chance when faced with this burgundy beauty. I mean it is Christmas after all…
