New Sailor Moon Crystal Trailer (looks absolutely amazing!)

The first official trailer for the brand new Sailor Moon Crystal series has just been released and it so incredibly perfect/beautiful that I’m probably going to lose sleep counting down the days until the first episode airs in July! Just incase any of you were unaware of the Sailor Moon reboot (where on earth have you been the past year?) it’s been in the works for quite some time now with various set backs but finally it is actually coming to our screens.

This will be a complete retelling of the original manga series by Naoko Takeuchi rather than a remake of the 90′s anime series, lots of the original voice actors are reprising their roles for this one and the series is set to be incredibly popular being streamed not only online in Japan but also overseas with subtitles in various languages. The production quality looks absolutely amazing and it’s really nice to see the characters animated in a more grown up way reflecting Takeuchi’s art style. I get the feeling that this will shape up to be a much more mature take on the Sailor Moon we came to love as kids and as a huge fan of the original I couldn’t be more excited!
