Why fashion bloggers should do Yoga

These photos perfectly depict how I feel when I do yoga. I feel like I’m floating through the clouds above the city in my own safe world where no one and nothing can bother or distract me. I feel at peace, present, happy, free, full of love and grateful for what I have. Like I have mentioned before in my 6 Reasons I love Yoga post, Yoga has been such a big part of keeping my blog life and normal life in harmony and I think all Bloggers (or anyone for that matter) should practice it.

It’s way too easy to get caught up in how competitive the fashion blogging world can be and you can get carried away with things that really aren’t important in life. I’ve noticed when all these stresses start to take over, I start to lose inspiration and even fall into a blogging rut. A rut that just makes me feel super uninspired to the point of not wanting to choose an outfit in the morning (white tee and jeans kinda day). The only thing that helps get me out of this rut is taking a step away from the computer and doing things that help me feel present. After all, for most of us, blogging is something we initially do because we simply love doing it. What good is fashion blogging if you can’t even feel inspired anymore?

Yoga has been a big part of helping me find out who I am and what makes my soul tick. When I meditate and stretch my body out, I’m reminded to live in the present and be grateful for what this life has given me; all you need is mind body and soul to be happy. It’s amazing how a bit of meditation and stepping away from the blog world can keep my creative juices flowing. This in turn helps me dress more freely and intuitively. I’ve been doing a lot more Yoga than usual and to be honest, I have never felt more like myself than I do right now. Balance is key. If anything I would use it for simple stretching and maybe ab workouts. I wouldn’t want any of you to hold buying this mat against me! You know I’ve got your backs!! XO Francesca
