Fabulous Room Friday 12.19.14

Earlier this week, I was meeting with a lovely new client who has beautiful taste. She cited Stephen Sills, Richard Hallberg, and Daniel C. Cuevas as designers whose work she is most drawn to– chic, right? Los Angeles-based, Daniel C. Cuevas designed a stunning dining room that has been in the back of my mind since it was published in Veranda last year. Isn’t it striking? I love the soothing grey and white palette which truly allows the architecture to stand out and makes the abstract art on the walls pop.

A timeless Maison Jansen dining table is paired with antique Louis XVI chairs recovered in Dedar fabric and custom armchairs in Nobilis fabric. A gray sisal rug and crystal chandelier add a lovely touch to the room without distracting the eye or disrupting the visual composition of the space. My favorite thing might just be the stunning pair of marble pedestals topped with boxwood topiaries. They frame the room beautifully and serve to relax the room a bit. And who can resist a touch of green, especially in it’s natural form? What is your favorite element of this chic dining room?

Have a wonderful weekend!
