ORGANIZE YOUR CLOSET

El buen tiempo llega a su fin, me encantaría que siguiera así para siempre pero hay que ser realistas, y conscientes de que en unos días el tiempo va a dar un giro. Sera entonces cuando tendremos que hacer el aburrido y pesado cambio de armario. / Good weather is coming to an end, I would love to keep the temperature we are having for ever but let's be realist and aware that in few days the weather is going to take a turn. Then we would have to do the boring and tired change of closet.


Es fundamental que lo organices bien. Por que? porque te sera mas cómodo y sencillo encontrar las cosas, ademas de que no te olvidaras de prendas que tengas perdidas en el armario. / Is necesarry to organize it. Why? because it would be easy to find anything and you won't forget the clothing you got.

- Saca toda tu ropa. / Take all your clothing out.
Es el mayor tostón que existe, lo se, pero así sera mas sencillo ver que es lo que tienes y lo que no. No hace falta que lo hagas todas las temporadas pero si mínimo una vez al año para mantener el orden y deshacerte de todo aquello que no vayas a utilizar. / It's terrible, I know, but this way it would be easier to see what you have or not. Is not necessary to do it every season, but at least once in a year to keep everything in order and through away all the clothing you won't use.

Haz tres montañas: una con las prendas que te vas a quedar, otra con las que no y una tercera con las que quizás./ Make three piles: one with the clothing you are going to keep, other with the one you are not and the third one with the maybe garments.
Lo mejor para decidir que hacer con las prendas que tienes duda es probártelas. Una vez que lo hagas, si te gusta guárdala pero si sigues teniendo dudas, hazte estas preguntas: me la volvería a comprar? me la voy a poner? si ambas respuestas son si, entonces ponla en el montón del si, si es que no, deshazte de ellas. / The best to decide what to do with the clothing that are dudes is to try them on. Por otro lado, si una prenda hace mas de un año que no te la has puesto, las estadísticas dicen que no volverás a ponerla. Asi que descartala! / If there is a garment you don't wear more than a year, the statistics said you won't wear it again. So dismiss it!
Por otro lado, si tienes ropa rota o con alguna mancha, mira a ver si la puedes arreglar, y de no tener solución, a la basura. Puedes intentar reciclar alguna convirtiendo un vestido en una camiseta o rompiendo un vaquero, pero lo que no, olvídate de ello. / If you have broken clothing or with a stain, see if you can fix the garment, if there is no solution is time to throw it into the trash. A la hora de colgar las prendas que te vas a quedar, tu organización sera en función del armario que tengas. Puedes colgar algunas prendas y guardar dobladas otras, o si solo tienes hueco para colgar cuelgalo todo. / When you start hanging the clothing your are keeping, you will hace to organize up to the closet you got. You can hang out some pieces, and keep others fold.

Guardar colgado: los vestidos, las camisas, las faldas, los tops, los monos, las chaquetas y los abrigos. / Keep hanging: dresses, shirts, skirts, jackets, jumpsuits or play-suits, and coats.
Guardar doblado: las camisetas, los jerseys, los vaqueros, los pantalones que no se arrugen, las chaquetas de punto o lana, jerseys... / Keep fold: t-shirts, jeans, pants that won't wrinkle, kitten or woold jackets, sweaters, etc...
Lo que cuelgas en perchas, ordenalo por color, por tamaño de la manga, por largura... en mi caso lo que hago es separar los estampados de los colores lisos. Para ello, primero colocas el liso y luego el estampado. / What you keep hanging, arrange it by color, sleeve, long... what I do is to separate prints from plain clothing. First you place plain clothing and behind them prints.

Puedes colgar las prendas solo por colores o diferenciar el tipo de prenda. Por ejemplo, pones todos los vestidos juntos y los ordenas como te he comentado (tonos, largura, etc), y luego hacer lo mismo con los tops, las camisas, las faldas, etc. Esta manera es muy cómoda porque si dices "hoy quiero ponerme un vestido" no tienes porque perder tiempo buscando entre toda tu ropa, sino que vas directa a los vestidos. / You can hang clothing only by color or different them into type of garment. For instance: you keep all the dresses together and organize them as I told you before (color, length, etc) and then do the same with tops, t-shirts, skirts, etc. This way is so comfortable because if you say "today I want to wear a dress" you won't waist time seeking among all your clothing, you go right away to your dresses.

Haz lo mismo con las prendas dobladas: los vaqueros con los vaqueros, los jersey con los jerseys, etc... y a la vez ordenalo en funcion de su tonalidad. / Do the same with fold garments: jeans with jeans, sweaters with sweaters, etc... and at the same time organize them up to their color.
Como ordenar el calzado. / How to organize shoes?
Tienes dos maneras de ordenarlos, todo depende de si los gurdas en cajas o no. / You have to ways of organize them, all is up if you keep them in boxes or not.
Si los guardas en cajas: haz una foto a cada par, y pegala en la caja, asi te sera mas sencillo encontrar cada cosa. E intenta ordenarlos por tipo de calzado, dejando mas a mano el calzado de temporada, y en los lugares menos accesibles el de otras estaciones, o el especifico de super eventos. / If you keep them in boxes: make a picture of each par (better just one shoe) and put it on the side of the box, this way it will be easy to find each box. And try to arrange it by type of footwear, leaving the season clothing on hand, and in the most hard places to get the ones of other seasons and especiall events.

Si no los guardas en caja, colocalos por tipo de calzado y por colores. Por ejemplo, yo tengo las sandalias de verano por un lado, por otro los salones, otro los peeptoes, otro los botines, otro las botas, otro los zapatos planos, y en cada clasificacion los organizo por tonalidades. / If you don't keep them in boxes, organize them by type of footwear and colors. For instance, I keep sandals in onw size, pumps in other, peeptoes in other, other with booties, other with boots, flats aside, and in each pile I organize them by colors.

Para aprovechar el espacio es mejor que los coloques tacon, punta, tacon, punta, porque ahi es cuando el espacio se reduce a la mitad. / To take advantege of space, I place one shoe heel, other point, heel, point, this way space reduce to the half.

Primero pregunta a la gente de tu alrededor, alo mejor hay alguien que necesita algo que tu no quieres. Puedes venderla en tiendas de segundamano, mercadillos o tiendas online. En España las tiendas de segundamano no funcionan muy bien pero las online si. Te sugiero Chicfy que funciona fenomenal, aunque hay muchas otras, o la reciente app Wallapop. / You can sale them in second hand stores, flea markets, or online stores. In Spain second hand store are not good, but online do work. One of them is Chicfy that works really good, or the popular app Wallapop.

Que hacer cuando te olvidas que tienes alguna prenda? / What to do when you use to forget what you got on your closet?
Si eres de las que adoran la moda, y tienes un sin fin de ropa en tu armario, es muy probable de que te olvides que tienes alguna prenda. Por ello, lo mejor, es que lleves un control de lo que tienes. Para ello, lo mejor es que archives imágenes de tus prendas en una carpeta de tu ordenador, o cuentes con algún app que te eche una mano del estilo del que usaba Cherre en Fuera de Onda. / If you are a fashion lover and have plenty of clothing is pretty normal that you forget you got some of them. For that the best is to have a control of what you have. Either you can keep image of your closet in folder in your computer or work with an app as Cherre did in Cluless.
Existe una aplicación que se llama "DressApp" que te permite organizar tus prendas, crear conjuntos incluso llevar constancia de lo que te has puesto cada día. Si, aunque suene freaky, puede ayudarte mucho, especialmente si tienes un armario con muchas prendas de ropa./ There is an app called "DressApp" that works pretty good to organize your clothing, create outfits, even note what you wear or are going to wear each day. I know, it might sounds a bit freaky but it works and might help you a lot specially if you have a lot of clothing.
