New Yarns

Last Saturday when I visited the beautiful Wollstreet shop with my crochet friend, I was introduced to a new-to-me-brand: Lang Yarns. They are a Swiss family business, dedicated to quality yarns with mostly natural fibers. Right up my alley. Have you knitted or crocheted with Lang yarns before? I’d love to read your opinions.

I couldn’t leave without the Bébé Lang 100% merino, I mean look at the packaging and how it’s winded like a pile of fluffy cotton pads. A total win on innovative packaging if you ask me. And the Lang Novena, made of 50% wool, 30% alpaca and 20% polyamid. At Wollstreet they have a knitted cable sample, and it’s just gorgeous how the braided looking thread tucks in to a wonderful dense structure. It seems to be the perfect yarn for Winter garments. Even though it’s still hot outside, I am quite excited to get started with these wool yarns! To be continued in a couple of months.

Last but not least, I have to tell you today was The Day. The day the first copy of my book PUUR haken arrived in my mailbox! It feels so awkward and fabulous at the same time to finally hold it in my hands. I absolutely can’t wait to share it with you, available in shops in The Netherlands and Flanders and online, as of next Tuesday August 5. And of course at the book launch on Saturday August 9 from 1-4 pm at the Textielfabrique in Dordrecht.
