No Autumn Colors – Sorry not Sorry!

Oh wow, another week passed by in a flash. I can not even beliefe that the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Zurich are already two weeks date back. Seriously! Time seems to run – yes, even to sprint – no, pull ahead in light speed! And this shortly before christmas. Of course, as spontaneity is my middle name, I don’t have any presents ready yet. Honestly, I don’t even have any gift plans, despite the fact that I’m in total christmas mood since like a month already – YES, since the end of october! Apparently the stores can’t get out their christmas deco bits and bobs fast enough.

Maybe that’s the reason for my recent love for bling bling with lots of sequins and stuff. Today we’re only talking about that cute sparkling mini bag. But tomorrows look will be on an whole other glitter-level. Tcha, somehow it looks like I’m an easily led person. Even by christmas glitter balls, shiny table decorations & Co. Alright, written like that it sounds pretty negative, so please let me rephrase. What I should have actually said is, that I find inspiration in everything surrounding me, be it people, music, sceneries or “stuff”.

In some form or another we all do so actually. It’s pretty obvious that in spring/summer people start dressing as colorful as a spring-like flower field while in autumn they wrap themselves in beige, grey, black. Just like the leaves that lost their summery green, just like the grey fog that covers the streets in the early morning and just like the darkness that shortens our days daily for 3 minutes. It’s a classical schema of dressing, and I count myself in. Thanks to the pastel trend that already persists longer than a year (luckily!) and focuses on coats during the cold seasons, the fashion houses managed to bring something fresh and cheerful in our winter wardrobe. And I am more than glad to come up with something different to my usual beige/burgundy/grey colored outfits for fall. So, for today, no autumn colors – but at least some pre-christmas sparkle. Hui, schon wieder eine Woche im Nu vorbei! Ich kann gar nicht glauben, dass die Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Zurich jetzt schon ganze zwei Wochen zurückliegen. Echt jetzt! Die Zeit scheint förmlich zu rennen – ja sogar zu spurten – nein, in Lichtgeschwindigkeit vorbeizuziehen! Und dass so kurz vor Weihnachten. Natürlich habe ich, als Spontanität in Person, noch keine Geschenke bereitstehen. Ehrlich gesagt, noch nicht einmal ansatzweise welche in Planung, obwohl ich doch bereits seit einem Monat in totaler Weihnachtsstimmung bin – JA, seit Ende Oktober! Den Läden kann es ja anscheinend nicht schnell genug gehen, ihren ganzen Weihnachtsdeko-Krimskrams aus dem Lager zu hiefen.

Vielleicht greife ich deshalb in letzter Zeit so oft zu Bling Bling mit ganz vielen Pailletten und so. Heute ist es zwar nur eine süsse funkelnde Mini-Tasche. Der morgige Look wird hingegen auf einem ganz anderen Glitzer-Level sein. Tja, schaut irgendwie aus, als wäre ich leicht beeinflussbar. Sogar von funkelnden Weihnachtskugeln, glänzender Tischdeko & Co. Ok, dass klingt jetzt eher negativ, also lasst es mich doch lieber nochmals anders formulieren, nämlich so, dass ich meine Inspiration ganz einfach aus all den Menschen, Musik, Landschaften und eben auch der “Dinge” ziehe, die mich umgeben.

Auf die ein oder andere Weise tun wir das doch sowieso alle. So ist beispielsweise leicht zu erkennen, dass sich die Menschen im Frühling/Sommer bevorzugt bunt wie eine frühlingshafte Blumenwiese kleiden, im Herbst/Winter hingegen meist in Beige, Grau und Schwarz gehüllt sind – wie die Blätter, die ihr sommerliches Grün verloren haben, wie der graue Nebel, der Morgens über den Strassen hängt und Schwarz, wie die Dunkelheit die den Tag täglich 3 Minuten kürzen werden lässt. Auch ich bewege mich oft in diesem klassischen Schema. Dank des Pastel-Trends, der sich schon über einem Jahr hartnäckig hält (Gott sei Dank!) und sich in den kalten Jahreszeiten besonders auf Mäntel fokusiert, bringen die Modehäuser jedoch etwas Frisch-Fröhliches in die Wintergarderobe und ich freue mich, ab und zu mal was völlig anderes als meine typischen Beige/Burgundy/Grau Looks zu tragen. Also, heute keine Herbst-Farben – dafür aber etwas vorweihnachtliches Glitzern! Schönes Wochenende euch Lieben!
