The past week has gone pretty quickly here in Wuhan. I’ve registered at the university, been assigned to a class and bought my Chinese books. We’ve been testing the Wuhan night life where I have been speaking Dutch, danced with Mongolians and had some people thinking I was Russian. I’m already kind of sick of the Chinese food from the local restaurant and I wish I had a proper kitchen to cook in this year, but sadly I don’t. I’ve also had some not so fun encounters with my unwelcome co-tenants: the cockroaches. In fact, I’ve spotted one right now, but it’s gone into hiding, grrr. Tomorrow we’re going sightseeing and I’m quite excited. There aren’t that many sights in Wuhan, but I plan to see the few ones that are actually here.

Also, even though I’ve barely just arrived in China I’ve already booked a ticket back to the UK for my one month long holiday in February. Can’t wait to spend two weeks in Portsmouth!
