About Me

Hi there! My name’s Ella Grace Denton, I’m 19, from London and here’s a little bit of my story.

At the age of 17, a ballsy, over confident, Ella started a channel on YouTube. I uploaded my first video, a seemingly self-assured introduction to myself, and what followed was not what I’d expected. So many of you reached out to me, feeling a sense of camaraderie through the screen, a ‘sisterhood’ was formed (Sorry boys! You’re part of it too!) and I really felt I was influencing other humans in a positive way.

3 years down the line, not enough video uploading and 60,000 subscribers later, I found myself lost. I woke up feeling ill at the thought of filming myself, I so desperately wanted to take advantage of how fortunate my situation was and shed a positive and frank view on life to help others, but I couldn’t face the camera. If I’m honest, I felt a little embarrassed. I’d sit in a room of people I’d never met before and feel sick to my stomach, waiting for someone to say “I’ve seen your YouTube videos!”. So I stepped back. I stepped back and looked at what was wrong with the situation I had got myself into. The basis of it was that I was embarrassed by what I was doing, but I also craved having a platform on which to share myself, my help and my humour.

After a year of too-ing and fro-ing, trying and crying! I finally realised that all that I really needed to do was to find a new space, my own space, that I could love and nurture and really feel proud of. That, my friends, is where ‘We Need To Live More’ comes in.

We Need To Live More is more than just a statement. It’s a safe space, an inspiring place. I’ll be sharing Healthy Recipes, Personal Projects and Feelings, Adventures and Overseas Travels and even things as simple as Learning To Knit! This is an online space for honesty, humour and innovative living.

So here we are, I now have a space online, this platform to be proud of. I have such a great community of people following what I do (That’s you!) and the message I really, most want to convey, is that we truly do need to live more.

So after reading this post, or any other posts on this site. I dare you; Change your routine! Try something different! Learn a new skill!

Do not share to live. Live to share!

All my love,

Ella x
