#31DC2014 ~ Day 17 Glitter

I am back! You might have realized that days 14-16 of the challenge are missing. Well, that is because I did not manage to prepare all the designs in advance. I tried my best, but I simply couldn't make it and I did not want to put myself under too much pressure. This challenge should be fun, not a chore. But don't worry, I will deliver all the missing designs when I am back from my holidays.
For the glitter prompt I chose Hexy Bikini from the KBShimmer late Summer collection (I believe). If you have been following my blog for a while, you might know that I love textured nail polishes. So of course I had to snag this one when it became available at Harlow & Co.

KBShimmer - Hexy Bikini combines hex holo glitters in silver, teal, and pink in a clear base. It sparkles like crazy in the sunlight, I couldn't stop staring at my nails while I was wearing this polish.
The glitter is very densely packed and Hexy Bikini was opaque with two coats. I did not apply a top coat to keep the textured finish. The texture is a bit gritty and I bet it would take loads and loads of top coat to smooth this baby out. The formula is thick and I worried that it would be hard to apply, but it really went on easily. The only downside for me is wear time. Hexy Bikini started chipping on me not even 12 hours after I applied it.
