Today I am excited to share a Sparkler mini quilt tutorial.
Evenings during the summer are a great time to hang out with family and friends. Usually there are fireworks involved…or sparklers! The kids love them. This mini quilt is all about sparklers….how in the evening they glow red and make twirly designs in the night sky.
Finished size: 16″ X 19″
24– 2″ X 2″ Red- sparkler fabric
24– 2″ X 2″ Black print or dark print- background
16– 1 1/2″ X 1 1/2′ black background
10– 1 1/2″ X 2 1/2″ black background
6– 2 1/2″ X 2 1/2″ black background
Red- 1st border:
2– 1 1/2″ X 10″
2– 1 1/2″ X 15 1/2″
Black- 2nd border:
2– 2 1/4″ X 12″
2– 2 1/4″ X 19″
Backing and Batting:
17″ X 21″
1) On the wrong side of the sparkler fabric- draw a line from corner to corner.
2) Sew 1/4″ from the line on both sides
16″ x 19″ mini quilt
