The Man of The Year party

So now that you’ve taken the road with me to the GQ man of the year party, and learned about my grooming secrets I used beforehand, how about we touch on the actual event itself? Easton and I arrived a little past 8, valeted our cars and walked through the back entrance of Chateau Marmont. We were greeted by beautiful lighting and foliage peeking over the high property walls, it was surreal. I entered the line to be photographed on the red carpet and as I turn around to see who had followed was James Marsden (Hairspray, X-men) and then quickly realized that Weird Al was in front of me- the signature curly hair gave him away. It was such an awesome moment that made me realize these past 6 years of hustling for the blog had really paid off, I was a man of TODAY myself. After we were finished photographing on the carpet we proceeded to enter the party and grab some drinks. The event was being held in the pool area and had lush decor lining the perimeters, as well as the crowd-favorite photo booth sponsored by Hugo Boss. In between mingling and meeting new faces I captured a lot of the scenery with my iphone. The nostalgic ambiance from the chateau mixed with the modern decor was my favorite and made content-capturing seamless. Aside from the venue itself, the amount of dapper men who attended in their tux’s shocked me. I had never seen so many ‘men of the year’ in one area. Renown actors and singers chatted alongside bloggers and models, everyone was there for a reason. They all had worked uniquely hard in their own industry to make names for themselves, and build sort of an ‘empire’. The party was all in all refreshing and an experience I’ll never forget.
