Givenchy Fall 2014

The outfits in this Givenchy show could be a lot of things. Some could be Valentino, others, Nina Ricci. There’s a bit of something Japanese or Belgian in there, and if we dug hard enough I think we’d see a whole bunch of other brands, too. But there is no Givenchy, and I am very confused. This is one very big mess of a show.

I love…

fur lapels and a nice mix of materials.

I loathe…

frills, lace, and nipples on show. This does not look like Givenchy.

utter confusion. Am I looking at the right show? Or is this bad Valentino?

that there is too much going on.

when it is a big mess.

that the coloured bands are trying too hard to make a statement.
