Pretty Pictures: Remix 2014

Last week I was in Milan as a guest of the International Fur Trade Federation. We visited a big tradeshow, called Mifur, and we attended a few fur industry events. One of them was the annual Remix competition catwalk show, where young fur designers from around the world compete for a prize. The competition is part of the Vogue Italia Young Talents program and Franca Sozzani (Editor of Vogue Italia) was part of the jury.
The competitors’ designs were impressive, to say the least. I was lucky to be able to hang around backstage and see these garments up close. The handwork, detailing, and techniques were incredible and demonstrate some of the wonderful innovations that can be done with fur. Here are a few of the catwalk images along with some detail shots.
