Vampy Halloween Makeup Tutorial with a Touch of Spider

I bought it. PR Sample. Affiliate links.

I normally try to do lots of Halloween tutorials…but this year it has been crazy busy. With the new site & lots of life stuff I haven’t gotten to share as much as I’d like. Today, however, I get to show you a tutorial I absolutely fell in love with! I used a variety of products (all broken down below) but it doesn’t have to just be Halloween either. The eyeshadows I used mainly are from the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette which I’ll be reviewing soon- & this look is just a favorite! Love my purples! Keep reading for the products & application tutorial!

Eyes:

To prep my look I applied tape to the outer corners for that dramatic edge. As a base for my eyeshadow look I used Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Paint in Manganese Purple & blended it out with my fingertip. I then broke out my Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette (which I’ll review soon I promise!) & applied Vanity to my lid. I applied Bondage to the outter 1/3 of my lid next & blended along the way. On the very outer edge is just a touch of Revolver only to darken up a bit. On my inner corner I applied a bit of Alchemy & Alien mixed a bit. I first applied a touch of Alien to the center of my lid but that didn’t give me the desired effect so I added something else later on.

To blend out I used Undone then added truth above it. I wanted a nice contrast to my pale skin & lack of blush so I used a touch of Bobby Dazzle on a tiny brush just below my outer brow. On the very inner corner above & below I applied a touch of Bobby Dazzle on that same brush. I then used Vanity on my lower lashline & a tiny bit of Bondage on the very outer edge. To amp things up in the center of my lid I then applied the Lorac Lustre Drops in Rose Quartz from the new set- LOVE & I’ll review this soon too! I used Eddie Funkhouser Graffiti Creme Eye Pencil in Absolute Black on my inner rim & Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Intense Black for my wing & upper lashline. I then remove the tape & connects it below my lashline a bit so it looked more connected. I then curled my lashes & applied a mix of Essence I <3 Extreme Volume Mascara & Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Mascara to my lashes. Most people would add falsies here for more flair.

Face:

I wanted to keep things really simple on my face- I am not even wearing blush! To prep my skin I used the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer then around the eyes I used the Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer. For foundation I used my Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Hydrating Foundation in 1.1 & blended out with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. On my brows I used the NYX Eyebrow Gel in Blonde which I reviewed here. I used the same concealer under my eyes & on blemishes- the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Classic Ivory. To contour I used the Chrislie Formulations Contour Kit which is a matte bronzer & highlight duo. I used the contour shade to hollow out my cheekbones some for drama & added a bit of the highlight shade to set my undereye concealer & on my cheekbones.

My little spider was creating using the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Intense Black again. This stuff has great staying power. To make the cute little red jewel stick I used a dot of lash glue. Super easy to do!

Lips:

My lips are actually super simple & I used some new-to-me lip products. I started with the LA Girl Lipliner in Black for my outter corners to darken them up then blended lightly. I went maybe a 1/4 into my lips on each side but it blended out really well over a light lip balm. I used the NYX Simply Vamp Lip Cream in Bewitching all over my lips skipping a small portion of the very center. I blended this lightly with a lip brush into the black. In the center I placed NYX Simply Vamp Lip Cream in Covet in the center & blended. The shade is a satin metallic & so different!

So there you have it! I hope you like this look- it was so fun for me! I love looks like this where you can almost turn them into nighttime looks instead of costume makeup. Well- at least I can! What are you wanting to see looks for this Halloween? What are you going to be? Don’t forget to check out the other entries from The Beauty Council below!
