I love the idea of designing my home in a way that it feels like a retreat. I want to walk through the doors and feel instantly calmed by the architecture and decor. That’s how I felt when I came across the Dallas home of Landscape Architect David Rolston and his wife, Artist Julie Cohn. The ceiling to floor windows and lush landscaping brings the outdoors inside, blurring the barriers to create a relaxing atmosphere throughout. I also love a home that is filled with natural light. There’s nothing like waking up to the warmth of sunlight. Sigh. I’m just in love with this space.
