We had a slow start during my second day of my Vancouver trip. Went out a little too hard the night before at one of Kiara's friend's new bar opening in Yaletown. But we were feeling better at least two hours before the sun officially went down this day and so we did some exploring around the Sea Wall and then took a ferry across to the Granville Island Public Market for a coffee. Walking with a coffee in hand is the best way to cure a hangover it seems. The city looked stunning as the sun went down. Vancouver is full of large, modern apartments with windows and windows for days. The sunset reflecting off the glass city lit up so wonderfully. Everything was so sparkly. Not sure I've seen anything quite like it before. It was literally a golden city during those last few moments of sunlight. I always find myself having to catch my breath each and every time I encounter a sunset that just blows my mind. Kiara knows me so well and we both share a love for Vietnamese pho, so she took me to her favorite spot in the city for it. A divine way to end the night before another big day trekking up to the mountains.
