Every time there is a new restaurant on the blogs or in the paper I get really excited and put it on my mental list to try out. Burger and Lobster is one that has been on the list for a while now and on finally I managed to brave the cold and the ridiculous queue in Dean Street and actually make it into the restaurant with my beautiful friend Sallie. The choices are so easy I couldn't even see a food menu, you have a choice between a burger and a lobster, with chips and salad, for £20 and this is no tiny lobster, it's a big fat lobster with plenty of meat to fill you up. The chips are skinny, crispy and perfect, even the salad was delicious. Apparently there's a lobster roll but nobody mentioned that! Next time.
The wine and cocktails were ridiculously overpriced so a beer would be my recommendation. You have the choice between a grilled rather than steamed lobster, the grilled one is steamed first, then grilled and our server said that was the most popular option.
The garlic sauce was divine and the first time I had ever had lobster was sh-amaze-balls, there's no other word for it! I wholeheartedly recommend this place, as long as you don't mind queueing. It's like a hipster-diner, the funky plastic bib is so kitsch cool and the atmosphere is great. All in all it was a brilliant Friday night with great company and delicious food. Does anyone seriously get a burger though...really?
