Go Big Or Go Home

There's something fabulously bad ass about big hair. Its showy & trashy and the ultimate two finger salute to those who advocate age appropriate hair-dos. Who wants to blend in when you can stop traffic?

I've always wanted huge hair and its taken the best part of 48 years to achieve it. There's no way I'm toning it down now. In fact, if I have my way, it'll get longer and wilder as the years pass.

Big haired beauties: Sharmila Tagore, Barbra Streisand, Amy Winehouse, Bollywood H Bomb Helen and Priscilla Presley

I'm not one for half measures. If I'm going to do something then I give it 100%. Going dark meant dying my natural blonde hair jet black; wearing jewellery is a ring on every finger, shoulder-grazing earrings and bangles halfway up my forearms; make-up is just that, neither subtle or discreet, its lurid and neon and obvious; dressing in vintage means just that, no look-a-likes or high street alternatives.

Loud prints shouldn't be toned down. Psychedelia demands to be noticed. Neutrality deadens the impact.

If its worth doing then its worth overdoing....
This is my popping to Lidl outfit. Its a quiet day for us, recuperating from a hectic weekend, getting ready for a full-on few days of hunting down fresh stock to replace the masses we sold and the inevitable washing & repairing in readiness for another crazy double vintage weekender (see HERE).

Wearing: 1960s Tricel catsuit, Vintage 70s leopard fabric platform boots (both Ebay), 1950s fake leopard coat (Age UK), 1950s woven tub chair (liberated from a skip about 20 years ago)
See you soon!
