The Pigeon War Has Begun

I have pigeons living on my air conditioner. This has been an ongoing problem for the last six months and I'm not sure how they decided it would be the ideal place for their future (and seemingly very permanent) home. At first it just consisted of a few "coo's" here and there which was a bit endearing, as creepy as it should have been. But now they've gotten too comfortable and they make the biggest ruckus during all hours of the day. Even now I can hear them coo-ing and clawing away and I just know my air conditioner is covered in pigeon poop. I couldn't sleep for two hours straight this morning because of all their banging and rustling. How do pigeons even cause so much banging? What are those psychos doing?
