Finders Keepers

So I'm that crazy girl trying to shoot outfit photos in the rain in full view of people eating their lunch. The British weather has made blogging a little problematic recently, the hair that I thought would solve all my problems seems to be constantly fighting with the wind and my decision to wear a lighter coat wasn't all that sensible. Still, I had to show you the first conclusion to my matching set story and this combo from Aussie label Finders Keepers fits the bill perfectly. My love of Antipodean fashion goes way back and it's been a while since I've found a brand I can really get excited about. They produce 12 vast collections each year, which sits nicely in the middle of those designer brands with four seasonal drops and high-street ranges that are constantly being churned out. Fortunately they're obsessed with separates too as well as structured skater dresses and you can guarantee that if there's a print you like, you'll find it in a fair few formations.

Trench - COS (similar one in black I also want) Top & Skirt - c/o Finders Keepers Necklace - Tatty Devine Tights, Socks, Jewellery - Topshop Shoes - Dr Martens
My only qualms about the top was that it was slightly too long for my proportions, so with a bit of careful tacking and ironing it was as right as rain. Currently I don't really have anything with numbers on and certainly not in a tartan print, so this is a nice addition to my collection of tees. I can see myself wearing these bits separately (the skirt is a gorgeous neoprene-type fabric) as well as together. As I'm having major tights fatigue at the moment, I managed to dig this grey pair out from the pile to avoid relying on failsafe black. I find myself playing it safer with colour combinations these days, eschewing all of my old brighter colours for black, grey and nude. Can someone please call up Spring and tell it to get a move on so I don't have to worry about tights?

Finders Keepers have kindly offered me an additional tee (size small but would fit anything from sizes 8-14 depending on how baggy you like your tops) and vegan leather clutch to give away. It makes a pretty decent make-up bag as you can see above. If you want to enter, just follow the instructions in the widget below by midnight 16th February (this is only open to U.K residents). Looking forward to having a twin!
