Make Lemonade!

Apologies if you're getting co-ord fatigue when reading this blog. I'm not really one for those all-compassing trends, instead preferring to dabble in the micro versions that adjust as the seasons go on. Ever since my friend Amy from Mod Dolly told me that she would be making some matching sets for SS14, I knew that I was in for a treat. I first discovered her label two years ago and it's exciting to see it going from strength to strength thanks to her social media know-how (she practically sells stuff via Instagram) and production of affordable ethically-made items. Knowing that this was made a few miles away in my beloved Brixton makes it feel even more special let alone the amazing print. Ever since I saw Solange in this playful getup last year at Coachella I've been after something similar, so I'm glad that I finally found something that's even better than I imagined.

I'm thinking about doing a bit of a co-ord round up in a few months, as I've featured a few on the blog already. This one in particular is a fave as the shorts are nicely cut and hit me at the right point on the waist, something I struggle with constantly (#shortbodyproblems). I'm really embracing the warmer weather at the moment, getting my legs out and trying to get the most wear out of the things that never usually see the light of day. I know the constant maintenance, body worries and possible chafing makes things annoying, but it's nice to see a more carefree side to people. I feel that Summer is the time when I can really project the inner confidence I've started to discover (it only took me 26-and-a-half-years), maybe it's been coming through in my photos? I've definitely been reflecting a lot this past year (I can't believe it's almost the anniversary of when I left for Bangkok) and now things are hopefully going to click into place very soon. Sorry to get so soppy on a Sunday!
