ten little Jollifiers for the home

I'm sure we all own a copy of Deborah Needleman's The Perfectly Imperfect Home (if you don't, run and get it!), in which she devotes a chapter to jollifiers. She describes these as "sentimental things that spread a little joy every time you cast your eye upon them. They are among the easiest decorating tools, as they require no skill, no sophisticated understanding of color, texture or composition. You basically set them out and, like talismans, they exude their subtle power." While these might not have a sentimental place in your heart (yet!), they're certain to spread a little joy.
