With the festive season just over six weeks away I fancied a more "festive" mani so plumped for Essie Angora Cardi with a Posh Polish in Topaz from BeautyUK.
Essie's description is "deep dusty rose polish and you’ll never want to take it off, it’s one stylish sweater for every fashion season". I totally have to agree. The colour is the perfect blend of rose and dusky-ness and lots super squishy and soft on the nail.
The formula is really good, the swatches are two coats. I purchased mine ages ago so it doesn't have the benefits of the fatter brush from the diffusion line but I didn't have any problems with application. I really love this colour, it's one of my favourites.
BeautyUK have an extended line of "Posh Polish" of which Topaz formed part of the Gemstone collection. BeautyUK's description is "Inspired by precious gemstones, these metallized pastels combine subtle hues with a light shimmer and superb coverage to bring a touch of class to any look.". I love this metallic taupe, I really have nothing else similar in my collection.
The formula of Topaz is also really good, the swatches are two coats. I purchased it from Superdrug when the collection originally launched and I haven't checked my local store to see if they still stock them. It is still available through the Superdrug website here and direct from BeautyUK here though. I'm really pleased with this polish and at £3.49 I could easily stock up on their other glitters!
