My Top MAC Eyeshadow Picks!

When I recently uploaded my MAC Eyeshadow Collection video (here if you havent seen it) I got asked by several viewers if I could do another video showing my favourite colours out of my collection. That video isnt uploaded yet but you can enjoy the swatches of each shade a little ahead of time ;)I did cheat a little and create a 15-pan palette of eyeshadows that I think work well together and are great colours to help build a collection.Lets get on with the swatches shall we :)First shadow in top row - BruleBrule is a Satin finish soft creamy-beige. Its the perfect matte highlight for my skintone and works well on the browbone when Im wearing a lot of shimmer on the lid.Second shadow in top row - NylonNylon is a Frost finish soft gold with icy shimmer. I really like to use this as an accent highlight so basically around the tail of my brow, the inner corner of my eye, cupids bow etc. I apply it with a 212 brush and then just pat it in with my finger. It gives a great "pop" in photos :)Third shadow in top row - Naked LunchNaked Lunch is a Frost finish minimal pink with shimmer. Naked Lunch was one of the first MAC shadows that I bought and it remains a firm favourite. It works well on my skintone as a lid colour but looks beautiful on darker skin as a highlight. Although it is pink, it isnt so pink it makes you look like you have an eye infection ;)Fourth shadow in top row - JestJest is a Frost finish soft peach with icy shimmer. This shadow is smooth as silk, its wonderful! I rarely hear about it on Youtube or on blogs, until the other day when MissChievous uploaded this wonderful tutorial using it here.Last shadow in top row - WedgeWedge is a Matte finish soft muted beige taupe. I really like to use this shadow almost as a bronzer for my eyes; to add definition and shade underneath my shadow to help sculpt my eye shape.First shadow in middle row - PatinaPatina is a Frost finish taupe brown with golden pearl. The shadow has a different texture in comparison with the Frost eyeshadows I mentioned previously. It is not overly frosty; it adds more of a suitable sheen to the lids making it the perfect lid colour for daytime or great for blending out darker taupes for more smokey looks.Second shadow in middle row - SableSable is a Velvet finish gold-plum with bronze pearl. Much like Patina is not like other Frosts, Sable is not like other Velvets. It is very smooth and has an almost metallic sheen. This shadow is a favourite of Lollipop26, now of Buy Now, Blog Later fame. I love using this with my Revlon crease brush to create a quick and messy smokey eye.Third shadow in middle row - Satin TaupeSatin Taupe is a Frost finish taupe with silver shimmer. No favourites would be complete without Satin Taupe right? I love this shadow. This was another one of my first shadows and most definitely a firm favourite.Fourth shadow in middle row - TwinksTwinks is a Veluxe Pearl finish deep plum with pearl. Another reddy toned eyeshadow similar to Sable but more brown and darker. This works in the crease or on the lid or even as a liner, I just love how versatile it is.Last shadow in middle row - SmutSmut is a Velvet finish muted black with red shimmer. The MAC description is really off with this one! I dont see muted black; I see a deep dark grey-brown with a red sheen. Regardless of this I really like this shade as a crease colour as it pairs well with warm and cool tone colours.First shadow in bottom row - SketchSketch is a Velvet finish burgandy with red shimmer. I initially bought this shade because AllThatGlitters21 said it was one of her favourites and then I found I struggled to find a use for it. Dont you just hate that?! However, I perserved and now I love to pair it with golds, pinks, taupes and beiges as well as using it to warm up cooler toned crease colours.Second shadow in bottom row - Shadowy LadyShadowy Lady is a Matte finish blackened plum. The photo above doesnt really do this justice, it is actually purple. I love using this in the crease, outer v or as a liner. Its a great way to add subtle colour.Third shadow in bottom row - ContrastContrast is a Velvet finish purplish blue with blue pearl. This shadow is a very dark shimmery navy and like Shadowy Lady and Sketch, it works well in the crease, outer v or as a liner :)Fourth shadow in bottom row - PrintPrint is a Satin finish muted grey with shimmer. I really like to wear grey eyeshadow but struggle as most turn blue on my skin. Print fortunately is the exception to the rule so holds a special place in my heart :)Last shadow in bottom row - CarbonCarbon is a Matte finish black. It may not be the most pigmented matte black, or the cheapest on the market, but its the only matte black I own! Its a great colour for deepening crease colours, adding definition to the outer v, using wet or dry as a liner or to "set" gel liners. Its a great little multi-tasker and definitely a colour I reach for a lot!And thats it! If you could create your own 15-pan MAC eyeshadow palette, which colours would you include?
