I’m moving!!

Selling my house, packing up, and heading to San Diego!!

I’ve spent the past couple months being excited and terrified all at the same time. Sad about leaving my family, friends, my troupe, my studio, excited to be so close to my brother, sister-in-law (and my niece who is due in July), and the ocean. Panicked at how my dog will adjust, thrilled to never have to shovel snow or rake leaves again. Sad about painting my beautiful black dining room all white and leaving my quiet little house behind. Excited to train at a new studio and learn a ton of new tricks.

Why am I leaving? Mostly a lot of personal stuff as well as working from home in the winter being quite depressing. I’m also (aside from leaving my job) very comfortable avoiding change and staying where I am. I’ve been feeling stagnant here, like a snow globe…I know there’s a ton of glitter around me but I gotta shake things up to get it moving again. So I’m giving myself an adventure and creating space for myself and my business to grow.

I’m shooting to leave in June but that will depend on how long it takes my house to sell. I’ve been painting, gardening, and cleaning like a mad woman – my parents get a huge shout-out for how much they’ve been helping me. If it takes me a bit longer to respond to emails or tweets you can bet it’s because I’m elbow deep in a bag of mulch or Magic Erasering every nook and cranny in my house.

I’m still trying to wrap my mind around such a big change, so advice on driving across the country with a dog and/or moving to a new city where you don’t know many people is very welcome and appreciated :)
