New Home.. New Adventures!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen that we bought a house! This has been a big journey for us, and it has had a lot of ups and downs.. but after all the sweat and tears (yes.. some serious tears).. we officially own a home.

This year kicks off with moving into our new home and with that comes a lot of work. So, just to give you a heads up.. outfit posts will be scarce for a few weeks due to the fact I’ll be living in sweatpants and paint-splattered t-shirts.

Though outfit posts will be lacking, hopefully you will enjoy getting a peek into our home renovation and decorating process. To start, I thought I’d share a few pictures of the home from the very beginning. These were taken the day that I stopped by the house to check it out with our realtor. I was instantly in love!

When the house hunting began, I knew I wanted something unique with interesting architectural details and a place that inspired me to create a home. In the California market this is pretty easy to find, but usually not in our price range. We looked at one house after another that was blah and bland or amazing and way too expensive… finally… this house popped up. Hallelujah!

So, here are a few pics from it’s blank slate phase…

The home is in a mid-century neighborhood and the first thing that that sold me was the white brick double-sided fire place. Both the living room, dining room and kitchen enjoy the warmth and design of the wall.

I’m already dreaming up ideas on what to paint the walls and how to make this space shine!

Off the living room is an enclosed atrium that has so much potential to be a fabulous inside outside space.

The kitchen felt small at first.. and it is.. but after renovating it in my mind.. I decided I loved it. We are already in process with this room.. so new pics will be coming soon!

So there you have it.. a sneek peek into our home. At this point, bedrooms are pretty basic and boxy.. but as they come together I’ll share more pictures.

Now.. back to moving and working.
