Summer Tempest

A couple of weeks ago, I attended the Summer Tempest event, showcasing a bunch of great designers. My favorite was definitely Estuaries Swimwear. I met these ladies at a Lucky Magazine event a couple of years ago, and just love what they do. Their pieces are so chic and functional.

Guests were also able to taste the Mango Fruit Punch (a more herbal taste) and the Shooting Star Fruit (sweeter taste) teas from David's Tea. I went for the Shooting Star Fruit, and it wasn't too sweet but perfectly refreshing -- definitely a nice treat since it was hot and humid that night.

An interesting brand I found was Pysis. These are over boots you can wear on top of your heels when it rains. It protects your shoes and eliminates the hassle of changing into flats/sneakers. It's a quick fix and definitely a cuter way than putting on those plastic bags!
