What’s in my Bag? Oct. 2014
I haven’t done a What’s in my Bag? in a long, long time and I heard someone mention it’s ‘National Handbag Day’ today (is this true?), so I thought it would be appropriate to post this today. I love it when I see other people to this, so why I thought ‘why the heck not’!
Below is the current contents of my handbag. My handbag actually doubles as a diaper bag. Most of the time I carry my handbag around, but when I go to the park or playground with Mason, I grab a smaller purse with just a few essentials and I leave my regular handbag in the car.
For the picture I left out his stuff (diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, extra set of clothes etc.), but if anybody is interested in this kind of stuff (first-time moms, for example!) I can do a separate post about it. Happy to do it! If I’m out without my son, I switch bags also. Oh, I forgot to include my sunglasses (they were on my head when I was taking these pics) and my cell phone (I have a white iphone 5).
Anyway, here’s the stuff I carry with me every day!
BabyGanics Foaming Hand Sanitizer
This is a hand sanitizer that is meant for babies, it does not contain any alcohol or fragrance. We’ve been buying these ever since Mason was born. Good stuff.
Mini Tangle Teezer
I have the big version in my bathroom and this baby version, that resembles a cute Easter egg to me, in my purse. Best brush ever! Untangles my hair in a jiffy.
Secret Body Spray
This is a spray that came for free with my deodorant. It says ‘body spray’, but I use it as a deodorant whenever I forget to put on my regular deodorant. It’s called Hawaii, but is smells like regular citrus to me. ;-)
Baylis & Harding Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit Body Lotion
What a mouthful, huh? I was sent a bunch of these a while back (samples to review) and I’ve been using them as hand creams. Its name says it all…hmmm!
Sunglasses case
I found this at Primark in The Netherlands. I like it, because it’s made from some sort of rubber and not as bulky as a regular case. Also, it reminds me of my mom, cause she loves flowers.
Isaac Mizrahi makeup bag
This is my current makeup bag that I carry around in my bag (I switch them up pretty frequently). I got it from TJ Maxx and it reminds me of Sephora (hah!). I love Isaac Mizrahi’s designs, so this is my way of supporting him (until I can afford his actual clothing! lol!).
Cars Kleenex tissues
Not much to say about these, except that this is what happens when you have a son and you let him pick out stuff. ;)
Maybelline The Creamy Mattes by Color Sensational lipstick
This is in the shade ‘Touch Of Spice’, my current ‘everyday’ favorite lipstick. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me wearing it more than once! I’m actually thinking about doing a blog post about my current favorite lipsticks for Fall…would you like that?
Sun Maid Raisins
Mason loves these! I’m surprised that I only have one box in my bag right now. Usually they’re everywhere…lol! But that’s ok, I rather have him snack on these, than have candy…
Peter Thomas Roth Body Lotion
I use this body lotion as a hand cream as well. I borrowed it from the Hilton in Rotterdam, where I stayed a couple of months ago.
My keys
House keys, car key, mailbox key, makeup train case key and a bunch of reward cards. Not too special here.
Check Your Stache mirror
Cute, huh? Found it at the Christmas Tree store, in case you’re curious (no, they don’t ‘just’ sell Christmas stuff!).
Orbit Gum in Bubblemint
Not gonna lie, I got this gum because of the packaging. It’s so cute! But honestly, the gum itself not that great, the taste only lasts for a couple of minutes…
Antibacterial Wet Wipes
These wipes are travel sized, which is perfect! They come in a set of 3, I buy them at Dollar Tree.
Guess wallet
I’m in love with this color combo! I bought it at the Guess outlet last year. It’s small and compact, fits a lot without looking bulky.
And inside my makeup bag…
Neosporin & Band-Aids (for when my two-year-old has a boo boo), Nivea lip balm, Essence eau de toilette, Miss Sporty blotting powder, Sigma kabuki brush, MUFE mascara and lipstick, MAC Smolder eye pencil, Urban Decay eyeshadow that I use as a blush etc! If you want me to go into my ‘emergency’ makeup, just let me know.
