Easter Table Decor & DIY Ideas

Somehow Easter entertaining feels less stressful than Christmas – even though the same amount of prep is involved but there are no presents to buy – Hallelujah! I’ve pinpointed some ideas to make pretty and some different decor ideas that might spark your interest.

Let’s start with some decor details – ah, jars – my favourite as you well know. Transform your jars with glossy spraypaint in your favourite Easter pastels (don’t forget the contrasting lids for added pretty) and for gorgeous gifts and decor details – spraypaint a jar lid and a farmyard animal or bunny and fill with mini marshmallows or speckled eggs.

Green and white is such a beautiful and simple colour combo and for Easter brunches and tea time spreads, these colours work so nicely, don’t you think? Baby’s Breath is such a well priced option for flowers too – couple this with vases of simple green foliage and you’ll be good to go

More jars, resplendent in their pastel beateousness

Here are two more images celebrating the prettiness of pastels – with a pop of colour in the form of cerise and yellow on the right which i love. I also like how the table on the right has been set with a roll of brown paper and cutlery outlines drawn onto the paper.

If you have an abundance of special glassware that never gets used – now’s the time – transform your wedding crystal into mini vases and gussy up with ribbon and take those little Italian juice bottles you get at delis and use those for vases too (Consol also does mini bottles which are perfect for this)

I love a harvest-inspired decor theme – and this filled baguette idea is perfect for picnics en masse (less washing up and mess in your house if you go down the picnic road). And if you’re planning on setting a table with a harvest look – keep it rustic with plenty of greenery and mini terracotta herb planters which your guests can take home

Keep things laidback with platters that guests can help themselves from and if you really want to bring the Easter theme home, nests of eggs (i’ll take chocolate over painted ones any day) complete the look

Who says Easter can’t be about the brights either – love this layered and eclectic look.

Hope you’ve found something to inspire your Easter table this year!
