Hello Gorgeous!!

I’ve visited Hello Gorgeous twice in the last few months – once just before Charley was born and then again last week and i love what they offer. It’s a sliver of a space in Newlands where, from start to finish you’re treated like a rockstar! The staff greet you with a cheery “hello gorgeous” when you arrive, setting the tone for a laidback and friendly, yet professional experience.

Dressed in black and white with pops of cerise, this is a girlie space which would be perfect for a get together with friends (they offer nail parties) and is the kind of a salon where you’re welcome to retreat into your own world while having your nails done or engage in conversation with the other ladies having a spoil. What i like about Hello Gorgeous is that it may be up there in the style stakes but it’s absolutely unpretentious.

They have all the latest Essie colours as well as longer lasting Shellac polishes and if you’re a stickler for smooth heels you’ll be pleased to know they use Medi Heel products which really work. The attention to detail here is what makes Hello Gorgeous a memorable nail bar – my pedi lasted an astonishing 5 weeks!

I also really love that you can pop in for individual treatments or you can top up your mani or pedi with extras – for example a Medi Heel foot treatment is R65 while a buff and shine is R20. I didn’t have much time last week so i had a quick shape, buff and shine on my hands and a foot treatment on my feet – so i didn’t have a full mani or pedi spoil but i still left feeling groomed, which when you’re getting around 5 hours sleep some nights really can make a difference!

Hello Gorgeous has a winter special at the moment where, if you book a pedicure, you get a manicure for half the price – bargain!
