Hi. It’s Mandy here. While I’m not the world’s biggest sun worshipper, I’ve got obsessed beach bums for children – my eldest can spend hours exploring the rock pools, my daughter is a sea glass collector of note as well as her older brother’s trusty sidekick when it comes to rock pool escapades, and even the baby is proving to be happiest when his little tushy is buck naked and covered in sand. Because I reckon this is going to be a beach-intensive summer, I’ve been desperately looking for a decent umbrella – one that’s good looking, does a respectable job of keeping the sun off, and is not too cumbersome to carry or set up.
