One of my favorite things about getting dressed is finding unique ways to wear a staple piece. I feel like the pencil skirt gets nowhere near enough love outside of formal environments, whether it be for work or an event. Homegirl is lonely and crying for attention!
Below I've detailed three easy ways to reinstate the pencil skirt's reputation as a badass in your closet.

Work. The usual pencil skirt suspect. Yes, the pencil skirt is very at home in the office, but that doesn't mean you have to wear it with a boring oxford button up and kitten heels. Play up your sexy in a sophisticated way with a modern fit blouse and thin pointed, sky-high heels. Add subtle jewelry and you're ready to takeover.

How could anybody think of the pencil skirt as anything but sexy? For a night well spent dancing with your girls or over some surf and turf on a hot date, throw on your favorite pencil with a dainty top. To add some extra flair, wear with busy heels and a lucite clutch. Keep the jewelry light so it doesn't steal the show and a nice dark lip to finish off the look.
